Just wanted to stop by...it has been a while. I wanted to let everyone know that I just picked up my 6mo. chip. I am working the most through 1rst than I ever have and actually studying it well enough to understand it. So that I can actually apply the spiritual principles to my life. I am learning that when things get rough and they have to go find those spritual priciples pick out the ones that I am not using and apply them. The problems don't go away however, they are not as overwhelming. All I really need to know is that I don't have to use no matter what. That 3 foot drop I've been hearing about for the last 4yrs finally happened to me. WOW!! Thank you to the Dopeless hope fiends for listening!!

Sun, December 16, 2007 - 4:05 PMCongratulations on the 6months, Keep up the positive thinking and positve actions. I just celebrated 2 years clean myself. I find myself in a meeting each day, still growing and learning. I am not the first nor will I be the last. It is amazing what a room full of people like ourselves can teach us about ourselves. Each time I read one of the readings I feel as if it was written just for me.
Once again congratulations.

Mon, December 17, 2007 - 9:20 AMStill around, still working hard in recovery. Though I just left Contra Costa I still have commitments there and have been traveling back in forth from the Sonoma County Area. Moving after two years clean and getting involved in a new area is tuff especially when you are still so close to your old area.

Re: 6mos
Mon, December 17, 2007 - 9:53 AMCongratulations.:) It sounds like your working hard on your recovery, I'm proud of you. And I'll tell you what I was told in early recovery, "you dont ever have to use again, no matter what." In the 20yrs that I've been here, I've gone thru the death of my son, my father, my brother, & the deaths of numerous friends that I met in recovery; a divorce, being homeless, health issues, numerous surgeries, going back to college, and other stuff. I know that this simple program works. So, keep up the good work and heres a BIG HUG for you, Scooter. aj
